Abraham "AB" Rubin, Jr.

Abraham "AB" Rubin, Jr. has represented Lafayette Parish Council District 5 since January 2020, currently serving his second term. A lifelong Lafayette resident for more than 56 years, he graduated from Comeaux High School in 1985 and later earned a phlebotomy certification from Remington College. He is a military veteran.
Rubin has been employed by United Parcel Service for more than 36 years. On the council, he prioritizes amplifying the voices of unincorporated Lafayette Parish residents and developing the next generation of community leaders.
He has been married to Sonya Harris for more than 32 years and has four children and two grandchildren.
