Pecan Island Volunteer Fire Department uses unique airboat to improve rescues

The Pecan Island Volunteer Fire Department has deployed a specialized airboat to enhance their emergency response capabilities in the region. The vessel allows firefighters to quickly access marshes, flooded areas, and shallow waterways that would be difficult to reach with traditional equipment. This unique addition to their fleet is improving rescue operations across Acadiana's challenging waterways.
